I died last month, and while it sucked, it's done something pretty drastic: I'm not afraid of torture or death in this place anymore. Well. Maybe a little bit of the torture but you know what I'm saying.
We should be, yeah, but out of experience with this place? When certain powers are taken from us, shit is inevitably going to hit the fan. This is not the first time I've experienced this. Maybe we'll get lucky this time.
I'm not counting on that, though. I want weapons at the very least.
You're not the only person who died, and while death may be inevitable, the torture may leave wounds that may not heal. I'm not sure it's worth the risk right now. I hope you're wrong in this case, but considering what we've endured so far, I do see your point.
Where in Hell are you going to get weapons? I don't think Lucifer would just have those just out for us to take.
I'm aware. On both accounts. I don't think I've ever shown you some of the scars I've gotten within the last few months.
For all we know, there are weapons behind some of those locked doors. We won't know unless we try to look, right? And it there aren't, I'm not opposed to making them.
Lucifer isn't very good at keeping anyone armed, including himself, so, you're not wrong about that.
I'm certain there are plenty I'm not aware of. Not that you need to show me, however. I believe you when you say that.
Making them could be tricky. We'd need supplies that may also be behind those locked doors. Lucifer is an .... interesting leader. I'm certain we'll see what comes of transplanting us here soon.
Did you know that there's magic here that's allowing for certain things to be removed? One of my friends was looking pretty demonic, and suddenly he's not. I think it's all still there, we just can't see it for now. I wonder if that's permanent or temporary?
Lucifer is a shitty 'leader', although it'd be a lie to say I don't have even a little sympathy for him in a way. But you're right, anything we'd need is likely hidden away from us with little hope of being able to retrieve it.
Who knows. But I don't like the sound of that, even if it means your friend no longer has demonic features. I suppose we'll see how temporary or permanent it is in time.
No, we can't, but we should use our time better. Constantly being pulled away by demons will only lead to a worse fate.
It doesn't take him long to find Ann's room. He glances down the halls, checking for demons who may be watching before he knocks on her door. He wasn't going to go barging into her space without at least announcing his presence.
He would just open the door but she might have locked it - precautions in all. Have they all just become more paranoid in Hell? He certainly thinks so.
The door clicks as she unlocks it-- something she's going to have to start doing if they ever get back to the house -- and she opens it, flashing Goro a smile as she steps aside to allow him in. Once he's in, she shuts and locks the door again, gesturing for him to take a seat.
"Hey, thanks for coming. I was going to try and get us some tea, but I don't really trust anything that's been offered here so far... sorry."
"A shame. Tea would have been lovely." He says as he walks through the door and takes a seat, crossing one leg over the other. "What have you been eating and drinking if you don't trust anything here?"
Not that he trusts it either, but he's watched others carefully and only taken what he's deemed as "safe" from any mind-altering effects. So far he's been lucky, but he wonders how long until his luck runs out here.
"Oh, I've been eating and drinking. Just not around anyone else." For obvious reasons. And so far, she's gotten lucky... mostly. She plops down in a seat across from Goro, folding her arms under her chest.
"So, what do you think of this lovely place? This is my second time around here. I hate it just as much as the first time."
He pauses to think about it, folding his hands in his lap. "Well, I suppose one can consider it lavish if you forget that this is Lucifer's personal torture island." He states with a frown. "I'm not a fan if I'm honest." Another pause. "Though, I will say the reprieve from the general state of Hell is interesting."

OH
Yeah, right. Pulled away by demons.
Did you want to meet up and see about coming up with a better plan?

Might be better than trying to "relax" and enjoy the "atmosphere".

Date: 2022-07-26 11:21 pm (UTC)I'm not sure how crowded the pool is, especially if we're trying to plan.
I'll be there soon.
