Character: Ann Takamaki
Canon: Persona 5: Strikers, end game as the Phantom Thieves are saying goodbye for the last time. Ann is also going to be CRAU from [community profile] hugtopia.
Age: 18.

Background Information: Wiki. As for her CRAU info, Ann spent 8 months in a game called Tabula Rasa, and a year in Hugtopia which is where I plan on taking her from (Tabula Rasa will not be referenced ICly, I just wanted to mention it here on the app). In the year she was in Hugtopia, she had to learn to adapt to life without her friends, and had to make a new posse. She also had to learn how to adapt to not being able to access her Persona, and to use her brain over her brawn in order to get things done... mostly because violence was a big no no.

Personality: Trigger Warning: Mentions of suicide and sexual harassment/assault of a minor mentioned. Also a warning for Persona 5: Strikers spoilers.
Ann Takamaki can be described as someone who is bubbly and bright, full of kindness and compassion for those around her. Though she was a lonely girl for many years due to being shunned for her looks, one would not be able to tell that this was ever even a thing she had to deal with. Despite her prior isolation and loneliness, she's pushed past all of that due to the friendship she's forged with her best friend, Shiho Suzui. It is due to that friendship that Ann learned to ignore the opinion of others, and to also not be so quick to listen to rumors about anyone else. Other than Shiho, she lived a fairly lonely existence: her parents did not live in Japan. Being fashion designers, they traveled the world, and were rarely home.

This being said, Ann is also fiercely loyal to those who she is able to befriend. She even goes so far as to agree to see and potentially "go out" with Suguru Kamoshida, her school's gym teacher/volleyball coach, in order to make sure that Shiho remained the starter on their school's volleyball team. This leads to nasty rumors that she is dating and "getting it on" with the teacher, rumors that he does not confirm or deny.

At the beginning of the story, because of this, she doesn't seem like she's a very strong person. She briefly allows Kamoshida to walk all over her, telling herself it's all for Shiho's sake, but this changes after she meets the Protagonist. A good judge of character, Ann is able to see right through the rumors swirling around the Protag -- before they even really talk, she confronts both he and Ryuji Sakamoto, warning them to stay out of Kamoshida's way. The trio aren't friends yet, but even then she was concerned that they'd get themselves kicked out of school because of their reputations and the rumors swirling about them.

After finally being caught red handed on the phone in an argument with Kamoshida by the Protag, he gets her to confess about the harassment from Kamoshida. It is here that she is finally seen breaking and wearing her heart on her sleeve. She even admits to him that she didn't believe the rumors about him, that instead she believed him to be very similar to her: a lonely person just trying to find their place in the world.

Ann also leads a double life -- while she is a student and part time model by day, she is a Phantom Thief by night. After awakening her Persona, Carmen, she became the third member of the Phantom Thieves, giving herself the code name Panther. As Panther, Ann is energetic and lively, and very confident and more sure of herself than she is in the real world. This is partly due to the fact that Carmen is an extension of her true self -- full of passion and life. Carmen was awakened due to finally snapping after Kamoshida admitted that Shiho "took her place", so to speak, after Ann rejected his advances. It finally sparked the will of rebellion within her, which in turn allowed Carmen to come out and forge a contract with her.

After the Kamoshida incident was done and over with, Ann had a change of heart of her own. To never stand by idly and watch while someone, herself included, was being abused or hurt. She has a strong desire to help those in need, never wanting to go back to the way she once was.

While somewhat withdrawn, Ann is able to open up to those closest to her, though she will not go out of her way to talk about her problems unless pressed. She is happiest to focus on someone else's problems before her own, another way she is similar to the Protagonist. She's also not afraid to pipe up if something displeases her, and she tends to be very passionate about things. If you choose to woo her in the game, during one scene, she will blurt out 'I love you' to the Protagonist, and then quickly follow that up loudly by declaring she meant what she said, and she wasn't going to take it back. In this regard, she could be described as extremely determined when it comes down to it.

Her confidence in the Metaverse does not always transfer back into the real world. Though she is confident in some things, she does tend to get a little flustered when overwhelmed, which can cause her to freeze up. During the school festival in Persona 5/P5Royal, if you choose to hang out with her, she'll be called up on stage against her will and asked a bunch of questions, eventually needing to be bailed out because she can't spit out an answer. It is also well known among her small circle of friends that she is a terrible actress. That being said, she is working on her confidence, and now, six months after the events of Persona 5, she walks a little taller and is far more sure of herself than before, even if, at times, she does falter and fall back on old tendencies.

Her determination also knows no bounds -- in Persona 5: Strikers, during the first Jail in Shibuya, she is driven to save the Monarch, Alice, no matter what it takes. She sees Alice as an equal, because she knows that had she never met the Phantom Thieves and befriended them, she'd probably end up just like Alice: cold, hateful, full of spite and rage for the world around her. Seeing Alice made her realize very quickly that without her friends, she, too, likely could have ended up a Palace ruler or a Jail Monarch. Even after Alice is saved and has a change of heart, Ann is fully devote to befriending her and helping her out both in her career and in her personal life, because she knows that if the other girl has at least one good friend at her side, she'll be stronger for it.

Abilities & Inventory: Ann is a Persona user; specifically, she is a founding member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and while donned in her Phantom Thief attire, she goes by the code name Panther. Her Persona, Carmen, has fire based attacks that are listed within that Wiki. Ann also has wicked skills with a whip, and can wield several other weapons including a sub machine gun, knives, and her own two fists for up close and personal combat.

Regarding Carmen, her abilities will include:

· Maragion: 16 SP. Medium fire damage to a wide area of foes. Rare chance of burn.

· Fire Boost: Auto. Strengthens fire attacks by 25%.

· Diarama: 16 SP. Restore medium amount of HP to 1 ally.

· Burn Boost: Auto. Enhance chance of inflicting Burn status.

· Dodge Ice: Auto. Double evasion chance against Ice attacks.

· Soul Thief: Auto. Attacks will drain SP from foes afflicted by ailments.

For her b>Inventory, Ann will be arriving with a toy gun, her cell phone [which does not work], her whip (only as Panther), and the clothes on her back.

Suitability & Plans: I think that Ann can and will thrive in this game, assuming that I get in. I absolutely love cross canon CR, it's my favorite in fact, and this game offers a whole plethora of different characters from all walks of life. But I'm not the only one who enjoys it, because Ann does, too. She didn't have a whole lot of friends canonly at home, save for the Phantom Thieves, and so for her, a setting like this gives her the opportunity to meet and befriend as many people as she can. Despite being a little on the withdrawn side of things in her past, she very much enjoys being around people now.

I guess the tl;dr of it all is that I've had a fun time on the TDM and I'm dying to expand on the CR she's getting there, plus add a ton more in the coming months!

Test Drive Sample: Sample I'd like to add here, that the header says Persona 5 Royal/Strikers but I was informed that it had to be one or the other, so to clarify, she will not have her memories of Royal but instead the Vanilla version.

Questions: Nada!
menaretrash: (pic#14133815)
IC:

Friendship: Go for it! Ann adores her friends. The more, the merrier.

Romance: Yes, so long as there's a substantial amount of CR.

Affection: Yes! Except if she doesn't know you, Ann's probably going to yeet you into the surface of the sun. She'll warm up to the idea, but, give the girl a little time.

Kissing: Go for it, but don't expect Ann to react too kindly to it unless it's a mutual thing. See the aforementioned yeeting into the sun.

Sex: I don't mind, but I'd rather have some sort of established CR.

And while this list is subject to be edited and changed at will, things that are a no go are:

Bathroom play

Pregnancy

Dubcon

Breath play

Snuff

Anything ridiculously underage. If your character is younger than 17 [And player isn't 18+], not interested.

Mind reading: Prooobably on a case by case basis tbh. Let's talk it out.

Play violence: Yes. Just be aware that while Ann looks like some sort of delicate flower, she's pretty tomboyish. Rest in pieces, friends.

Serious Violence: Yes. While Ann isn't okay with most anything and everything violent, I am! The only thing I ask is that anything ridiculously violent be plotted out in advance so we have an idea of how things will go down!

Death: Yes! But again, I'd like for at least a little discussion beforehand. So, let's put our plotting hats on for this, please and thanks!

OOC:

Backtagging: Please do. I work 12 hours a day, four days a week - Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with the occasional OT on Wednesday sprinkled in. Which means that my tagging on those days is wonky or non existent. I'm located on the West Coast in America, so i'm on PST.

Threadjacking: Go for it. Please ask first, though.

Fourthwalling: I'd rather not unless it's somehow necessary tbh.

Triggers: Not a whole lot bothers me, but if you're not sure please ask first! Can't hurt to make sure, right?

Please comment here if you'd like to opt out of spoilers from Strikers! Ann is officially from towards end game, and the last thing I want to do is actually spoil anyone who hasn't played or is in the middle of playing. So, please comment and let me know if you'd like to remain entirely spoiler free or how much spoiler content you'd mind, 'cause I know when I was playing through it I didn't want spoilers from a certain point if that makes sense, haha.

tl;dr I don't want to spoil anyone and ruin all of the delightful twists and turns the game has to offer if that's not their jam, so lemme know so I have a proper list to keep tabs of when tagging. Thanks!

IC Info

Name: Ann Takamaki
Canon: Persona 5 Strikers
Age: 17
Appearance: Casual clothing Phantom Thief attire
Canon Point: End game, during the final boss battle against the Demiurge.
Background: Wiki page.

Personality: Bubbly, confident at times others not so much, strong willed, kind hearted, sometimes a bit of an airhead, stubborn, observant, hard working when she puts her mind to it and focuses, and rebellious. Bad, nasty temper at times. Loyal to a fault to those she's closest to. Good judge of character.

Weaknesses/Temptations: Ann is a glutton when it comes to food, specifically sweet things. Try though she might, she has a really hard time saying no. This often leads to some really bad habits -- she's a model, so when she over eats, she tends to get fidgety and immediately regrets it and wants to go run or burn off every single extra calorie she's put on [she can't even gain weight, it's a canon thing that she was just born one of those lucky people with a perfect metabolism]. And though she is kind, when her temper goes it goes and she can get real nasty and snarky when it comes down to it, which isn't at all a good thing for anyone involved.

As stated above, Ann is loyal to a fault -- that fault being that she is willing to do anything and everything to help those she's closest to out, including throwing herself into harms way, whether that be physically or mentally.

She has a bad habit of fixating on things, too. Diet, beauty trends, the works; she can fixate so much, in fact, that she will become manic and overdo it -- the gym, for instance, is a good example. At one point in P5/P5Royal she accompanies the protagonist and Ryuji to the gym and jumps on a treadmill and runs to the point where she damn near collapses, all so that she can fit in with the other models she works with and so she can also say that she works hard for her body, too [again, she was born very fortunate with natural good looks that make other models and students and just people in general very envious of her].

Ann questions her morals and the morals of their group on many occasions -- as Phantom Thieves, they are doing what they believe is the right thing: changing the hearts of those most corrupted and forcing them to confess to their crimes publicly to give their victims some sense of justice. And while it may or may not always be the right thing, Ann is generally the first one to voice her concerns about how morally right or wrong their decisions were, even if their intentions and hearts were in the right place.

Sins:

-Taking part in the demise of Yaldabaoth, God of Control. Though that decision did ultimately save humanity, it was still a God.

-Taking part in the attempted demise of the Demiurge before being dragged to Hell.

-Envy
-Sloth
-Lust (she's not ashamed to flirt to get her way, especially if it's for the Phantom Thieves)
-Gluttony
-Greed
-Dishonesty
-Despair
-Sitting back idly while others suffered, at least up until the point of her Persona awakening
-Stubbornness
-Wrath

Powers/Abilities: Ann is a Persona user; specifically, she is a member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and while donned in her Phantom Thief attire, she goes by the code name Panther. Her Persona, Carmen, has fire based attacks that are listed within that Wiki. Ann also has wicked skills with a whip, and can wield several other weapons including a sub machine gun, knives, and her own two fists for up close and personal combat.

Items:
-Cellphone with EMMA app hanging out loud and proud on the home screen [unable to use for calls and of course, app useage; literally just a useless cell phone]
-A small makeup bag with a bottle of red nail polish, a nail file, and some lip gloss.
-Her whip.
-A handmade friendship bracelet with a small seashell charm.

Character Information

Name: Ann Takamaki
Canon: Persona 5: Strikers
Canon Point: Jail 8, just after the Metaverse fuses with the real world and on her way with her friends toward the final boss.
OU/AU/CRAU/OC: OU
Age: 17

World Information: The world from which Ann comes from is generally a very normal Earth, save for, of course, the fact that both good people and not so good people have found the ability to be able to 'change hearts', so to speak. Other than Persona shenanigans, Earth of 2017 is pretty much normal from where she's at.

Personal History: A wiki for your convenience!

Personality: Trigger Warning: Mentions of suicide and sexual harassment/assault of a minor mentioned

Key themes: Bonds, growth, doing the right thing.

Main Motivation: Strengthening the bonds with her friends both old and new, and protecting and fighting for those who need it the most.

Skills: Ann has the power of Persona and the ability to transform into her Phantom Thief self, Panther, but generally this can only happen in the Metaverse [meaning I'll have a few questions in the notes section... sorry, mods, lmao!].

Persona: Carmen. She is weak to Ice.

Agi: Light Fire damage and inflict Burn (low odds) to 1 foe.

Dia: Slightly restore HP of 1 ally.

Agilao: Medium Fire damage and inflict Burn (low odds) to 1 foe.

Lullaby: Inflict Sleep (med odds) to all foes.

Fire Boost: Strengthen Fire attacks by 25%.

Showtime: A visual example. Basically, it's a stronger combo move that she performs WITH her Persona.

Item: A small make up bag with a little tube of lip gloss, a pair of sunglasses, a bright pink smartphone with a mysterious app labeled EMMA on it ( it will, naturally, be unable to be used -- both the app and the phone), and a small bottle of red nail polish.

Sample: Sample 1 and Sample 2. For that first sample, I hadn't finished the game yet so I was unsure of where I'd take her, apologies for that.

Notes: I have a few questions (and a comment) and for that I very much apologize!

1: Concerning Ann's Persona and Phantom Thief... self: is that a thing she'll even be able to harness here? It's okay if she can't! But I was just wondering, because usually she only has access to both of these things in the Metaverse. TL;DR I just wanna make sure I get all of my ducks in a row and don't mess anything up!

2: Also Concerning becoming Panther: In the Metaverse, she has access to a whip and a small sub machine gun. Assuming she's allowed to do the Phantom Thief thing here, does this mean she'd have access to at least her whip as well in that form? (I'm sorry if these are stupid questions aslkdjfdkl)

3: The aforementioned comment mention: I understand Persona 5 Strikers is a new canon that's been out for a little over a month now, and a lot of people don't want to be spoiled or have spoilers in general, so I do plan on putting up a spoilers opt out post in my journal that people can comment to to let me know how much or how little [or none, for that matter] they'd like to be spoiled. I just wanted to mention that, because again... it's been out for a little over a month and the last thing I want to do is spoil people.

Character Abilities: Ann has the power of Persona. However, this can only be activated/achieved in the Metaverse/Mementos. Therefore, until further notice, it is null and void within Tabula Rasa. However, for future reference, I'll go ahead and list off some of her Persona's abilities.

Please note: ANY AND ALL of these abilities would be VASTLY modified to fit the games setting, should Personas ever become a thing. Carmen's abilities would definitely be taken down as much as the mods wanted.

Items:

•A pink whip

•Shujin school bag, filled with various homework assignments and books, and a small makeup bag with a few bottles of nail polish.

•Cell phone (with Metaverse Navigator app) and charger, rendered useless naturally.

Winter Outfit (Changes to Phantom Thief: Panther when seen as a threat/calling upon her Persona.)

Other: N/A.

Imprint

Imprint Type: Scenery/location: Shibuya Underground Mall.

Summary: An underground mall full of stores full of various goods like clothing, accessories, and food stands.

Full Details: Exactly as it reads: an underground mall. The shops inside are small, and many of them include clothing, shoes, and jewelry, though there do seem to be some makeup shops, cd's and movie shops, and a flower shop, too. There are also food stands for things like drinks and sweets. Mostly, I think the clothing and shoes shops are the most important, because it would give characters a place to get a new wardrobe and things that they need. The underground mall expands into the subway station and the underground walkway as well, and there's a portion of it that seems to go even further but it is inaccessible as an iron fence blocks that portion off from any sort of entrance. There are also a few photo booths scattered around, but those are probably unable to be used in the game setting, should they also arrive within the mall.

During the school festival, if you choose to hang out with her, she'll be called up on stage against her will and asked a bunch of questions, eventually needing to be bailed out because she can't spit out an answer. It is also well known among her small circle of friends that she is a terrible actress.

Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:

Persona: Carmen. She is weak to Ice.

Agi: Light Fire damage and inflict Burn (low odds) to 1 foe.

Dia: Slightly restore HP of 1 ally.

Agilao: Medium Fire damage and inflict Burn (low odds) to 1 foe.

Lullaby: Inflict Sleep (med odds) to all foes.

Fire Boost: Strengthen Fire attacks by 25%.

Warping:

•Healing abilities, instead of helping, will cause physical damage in the form of poisoning to the user and the person in which the ability was cast on instead.

•Most fire attacks and abilities will misfire, causing damage to allies and friends and potentially, the area around them.

•Overuse of Carmen in general will physically drain Ann to the point of becoming exceedingly ill (and burned) and, eventually, passing out for a few days at a time. Thus, any sort of use of her Persona would end up having to be a last ditch effort sort of thing.

•I am open to placing more warps if these are not enough!

Inventory:

Winter Outfit (Changes to Phantom Thief: Panther when seen as a threat/calling upon her Persona.

•A small backpack, the contents of which are a small makeup bag with lip gloss and powder, a few tissues, and a cell phone charger (useless here, of course).

•Cell phone with the Metaverse Navigator app on it.

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: I am.
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: I'm an absolute sucker for ghosts, zombies, and asylum style horror. Survival horror, the works. I also wouldn't mind exploring Metaverse/Palace things in the future, if we were somehow able. I think it would be a cool thing to have other characters sort of get sucked into that sort of a scenario. Sneaking around and trying to keep the threat level down, fighting shadows -- I think everyone could have a lot of fun with an event like that.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: Nope!
